Kathie Lee Gifford’s The Rock, the Road, and the Rabbi: My Journey into the Heart of Scriptural Faith and the Land Where It All Began is my most recent completed book! I started this book back in September, and I have just slowly read through it, a couple of chapters here and there. For me, this was one of those books that I wanted to read a few chapters, and then really think about and process what I read before moving on. I wanted to soak in all the knowledge!
This is not a book that is just for moms! As I was reading through it, I would tell my husband bits and pieces about what I read, and he is eager to read through it himself! I also gifted this book to my Mema for Christmas, and I’ve heard that she loved it and encouraged her Bible study group to check it out as well. This is a book for any believer that wants to dig deeper into their Bible study. You are sure to gain a deeper understanding for the Bible and God Himself through this book!
The Rock, the Road, and the Rabbi is Kathie Lee Gifford’s journey through not only looking at the Bible in its original form, in Greek and Hebrew, but also hiking through many of the ancient Israel sites that Jesus himself walked. Rabbi Jason Sobel also appears throughout the book to share his knowledge of the ancient Hebrew language, culture, and heritage. His insight into God’s Word is amazing. He made connections for me that I probably never would have made on my own.
The Rock, the Road, and the Rabbi has 29 chapters that are all centered around a certain location of Israel. Just a few of these locations include: Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, the Mount of Olives, and Nazareth. Each location offers insight into Jesus’s time on Earth, our Father’s love for us, and the Word of God. This book is definitely worth taking a look at!
