The Joy That’s Coming

Hello!

This post is one that won’t speak to everyone at the same time.  If I can reach one person that needs this though, then that’s all that matters.

To be clear and transparent with you, I have been going through some emotional struggles the last few days.  I have some emotional scars that tend to rise to the surface periodically.  Sometimes I can pray or read the Bible, and the troubles just slip away.  I know He is there for me regardless of what I’m going through.  This time though, it has taken me a little more effort to put my trust in God.

1 Peter 5:7 says, “Give all your worries and cares to God for He cares about you.”  We have no need to worry or stress over whatever problems arise in our lives.  God wants us to lay those problems at His feet and trust that He will lead us through whatever storm we encounter.

I know it is easier said than done sometimes, to just “let it go”.  Trust me.  I know.  God has a plan for us though.  He has us go through struggles sometimes for a reason.  We may never know His reason, but there is one, and He will always bring us through whatever He puts before us.  With God, there is always light at the end of the tunnel.  As Romans 8:18 says, “The pain that you’ve been feeling, can’t compare to the joy that’s coming“.

Moral of all this is to say, if you’re at a point in your life where you feel alone and in a dark place, know that God has a plan.  Remember, God is our light!  (Psalm 119:105)

So until next time,

Okie Mom
